Multimedia performance artist Nicole Peyrafitte was born in Luchon (French Pyrenees) into the 5th generation of a family of restaurateurs. She received her early cooking training from her grand father – a renowned chef –, and later perfected her skills working at several award winning restaurants in France.
She moved to the United States in 1987, settling first in Southern California where she was a private chef and started her work as a collage artist and painter. Since moving to Albany NY in 1992, she has dedicated herself to multimedia art work.
As an autodidact, she considers each step of her work an attempt to fulfill her compulsion to learn through a process of immersion that generates performances incorporating voice / paintings / videos / writing & often cooking.
Peyrafitte performs locally, nationally and in Europe. She also often collaborates with her partner, poet Pierre Joris, recently touring their “voco-visual performance” SUMERICABACHBONEs in Berlin (Germany), Austin (TX), The Walker Art Center in Minneapolis, Buffalo and Rochester. Peyrafitte recently performed with Mitch Elrod and Mike Lopez as the trio Adichatz! She frequently collaborates with George Muscatello; they spent last summer performing the French version of Bi-Continental Chowder in Southern France.

George Muscatello is a well know guitar player in the capital district area. He performs with the Brian Patneaude Quartet every Sunday night at Justin’s, with Jocamo, as well as solo performer.
Muscatello studied at the Manhattan School of Music in New York City. He honed his skills with Wayne Krantz and Rodney Jones while immersing himself in the music of modern classical composers such as Bela Bartok and Leo Brouwer. The guitarist has since become quite well known throughout the Capital District for his regular appearances at Justin’s, Savannah's, De J
ohn’s in addition to performances with heavy hitters such as Nick Brignola, Chuck D'Aloia, and Dave Calarco. George brings a unique sound and compositional approach through his many musical influences ranging from free jazz to contemporary classical. During the summer of 2004 Muscatello & Peyrafitte toured the French version of the Bi Continental Chowder in France.

George has been part of the “Brian Patneaude Quartet” since 1995, with whom he recorded two cds: "Variations” with 6 of his compositions and "Release" (www.brianpatneaude.com).

Holland Hopson (not physically present at performances) developed the patch for the Max MSP-Jitter, an interactif software that is use to affect voice and images live. Peyrafitte and Hopson have collaborated since 1999 (www.hollandhopson.net).
